ONLINE IU MINI-CONFERENCE 2020

Dear all,
We hope you are well despite these circumstances!
Sadly the current COVID-19 pandemic requires us to postpone an in-person Information Universe conference to fall in 2021.

However, this year on October 1st,  we would like to invite you to a:
SPECIAL ONLINE EDITION OF THE IU CONFERENCE!

REGISTER ONLINE IU 2020

It will be a short, but intensive, ~4-hour mini-conference hosting a selection of our original keynote speakers:
– Charley Lineweaver   – Wendy Freedman   – Erik Verlinde
We will also highlight two Target Field Lab projects, very suitable for on-line presentations,  by:
– Bas Beukers (Horus BV)
– Carter Emmart (Hayden planetarium NY) who will give an OpenSpace show

Don’t miss the presentation of the very first popular science book on the Information Universe: “Powers of Two — The Information Universe” (Springer-Nature 2020). It is  an unique expedition through the world and scales of information resembling the classic “powers of ten”. The book is written and edited by Edwin Valentijn with support of Margot Brouwer, and contains contributions of many Information Universe conference speakers — highlighted by a foreword from Robbert Dijkgraaf.

The conference time-slot will be around 2 – 6 p.m. CET.

A 3D atlas of the universe  – TED talk

The mini-conference fee will be €45, which includes:

  • Access to all presentations and Q&A sessions
  • A conference kit with the new Target Field Lab Brochure

Springer Nature will also send to your home address, without additional cost (retail price: ~€45 excl. shipping), a physical hardcover copy of the “Powers of Two” book. If you choose to join us, please use the following link:
